National Pledge

India is my country and all Indians are my brothers and sisters.

I love my country and I am proud and its rich and varied heritage.

I shall always strive to be worthy of it.

I shall give respect to my parents, teachers and elders and treat everyone with courtesy.

To my country and my people, I pledge my devotion.

In their well being and prosperity alone lies my happiness.

All creatures great and small

All things wise and wonderful, The good god made them all,

Each little flower that open,
Each little blind that sings,
He made their glowing colours,
He made their tiny wings,

                                                  The purple headed mountains,
                                                 The river running by,
                                                 The sunset and the morning,
                                                 The brightens up the sky,

The cold wind in the winter,
The pleasent summer sun,
The ripe fruits in the country,
He made them everyone.

                                                 He gave us eyes to see them
                                                 And lips that we might tell,
                                                 How great is god almighty,
                                                 Who has made all things well.
